Sen. Harris Blake and Dr. Lian Xie have worked tirelessly since 2006 to maintain good will between the U.S. and Hunan Provence, China. Both countries fought together to defeat Japan in WWII. 60 years after the war, a relationship was renewed when a fallen soldier from Moore County, Lt. Hoyle Upchurch, was identified in Hunan through DNA.
