Two presidential unit citations:

Kiel, Germany 14 May, 1943
Ploesti, Rumania 1 August 1943 - daylight low level attack on Rumanian oil refineries

Colonel Leon W. Johnson Medal of Honor for Ploesti raid leadership
served and trained at Barksdale Field from 7 February to 26 July, 1942. During
first bomb group to train with B-24 Liberators. Moved to Will Rogers Field, OK.
on 26 July to prepare for overseas deployment.
