Rand is know for her two best-selling novels, The Fountainhead and Atlas Shrugged, and Developing a Philosophical System called Objectivism.

Atlas Shrugged was consisted her greatest achievement and illustrates that without the efforts of the rational and productive, the economy would collapse, and the society would fall apart.

This work expresses her concept of human achievement and advocates her philosophy of objectivism, which she describes as, "The concept of man as a heroic being, with his own happiness as the moral purpose of his life, with productive achievement as his noblest activity, and reason as his only absolute."
