In honor of William Henry Harrison of Massachusetts who lost his life on the Oregon Trail about 1850.

Erected by his niece Mrs. Alura F. Beardsley, 1931

One mile south-west near the river precipice is a monument on the site of the massacre of 1860 of sixteen men, women and children.
