Shelburne Museum's founder Electra Havemeyer Webb (1888-1960) was a pioneering collector of American folk art who established the Museum in 1947 to celebrate, in her words, "the art of everyday people" and to create "an educational project, varied and alive." Throughout the Museum's park-like grounds you will find dazzling collections of 17th- to 20th-century American and European paintings, folk art, quilts, furniture, decorative arts and artifacts exhibited in a remarkable setting of 39 historic structures and modern galleries.
We invite you to explore the diverse collections, extraordinary architecture and breathtaking gardens that make Shelburne Museum unlike any other.
