circa 1840s

This cemetery is located on the site of the Mt. Carmel Methodist Church which was established in 1836.
The church was a log cabin built on the highest point of these cemetery grounds. It no longer stands. Many early settlers of the Roswell area are buried here.
The earliest marked grave is 1846.
