So named by the Congress, in Resolution approved by
President Franklin D. Roosevelt, June 16, 1934,
to honor the memory of
James Wilson
1835-1920
Secretary of Agriculture 1897-1913

During his sixteen years in the cabinets of Presidents
William McKinley, Theodore Roosevelt and William H. Taft,
the Department of Agriculture had unprecedented growth
both in scientific attainment and popular favor.

This tablet placed herein under authorization
of
the Seventy-Third Congress by
the National Honorary Extension Fraternity,
Epsilon Sigma Phi, Incorporated.
