Green Thumbs Up!

Alternative to Plastic Water Bottles

Brookside Gardens has banned the use of plastic water bottles at our own events. Instead we provide a water cooler, from which staff can fill reusable bottles or compostable cups. We've also added water bottle filling attachments to our outdoor drinking fountains.

In order to meet Americans' demand for bottled water, 17 million barrels of oil are used annually; this is enough oil to fuel more than 1 million US cars for a year.
