Dedicated in memory of the longest serving member of Engine Company 17, Wagon Driver Jackson H. Gerhart.

He was appointed on Feb. 3, 1963 and retired on Sept. 30, 1994. He succumbed to injuries sustained in the line of duty while operating as a firefighter at a fire in Chambersburg, PA on Dec. 5, 2004.
