This fine Colonial Revival house was built around 1909 by attorney W.H. Wilson, then sold to Pat Foley, manager of the Hotel Dalles. Presently known as the Colonial Building, the house is in excellent condition, with extremely crisp detailing. The central entrance is framed by colossal Tuscan columns surmounted by a pediment with a central semicircular windows. Pavilion porches flank the central projecting entrance surmounted by a continuous second floor balcony. The Foley House has been described as the most architecturally imposing residential building in The Dalles.
