1889-97
This Victorian house of Queen Anne and Eastlake motifs is located in the historic center of The Dalles. John L. Thompson, a blacksmith who arrived in The Dalles from Boston in 1869, built the house between 1889 and 1897. It served as a family dwelling until 1949, then became a boarding house. The Thompson House represents the growth and development of the city in the late 1880s and exemplifies the numerous Victorian houses that once existed in The Dalles.HM Number | HM24HD |
