George Irwin
Lot #46

George Irwin, a merchant from Pennsylvania. Irwin sold it to Edward Smoot of Bath, who sold it to Thomas Palmer in 1795. Palmer, a wealthy Philadelphia merchant, willed some of his wealth to be used to cultivate peace and harmony among nations to render war obsolete.
