English:Fountain of CantoyaThis 18th century caja de agua (literally "water box") is named for Señor Felipe Cantoya, who financed its construction for the benefit of the city. In its design it emphasizes the Mixtilinear arch, a distinctive element of Querétaro civil architecture during the viceroyalty. These arches, also used in courtyards of houses and the cloisters of some convents, were inspired by the Mudejar (Moorish) art of the Iberian Peninsula.
