September 19, 1863, 2 P.M., 2d Position.

9th Indiana - Colonel Isaac C.B. Suman.
6th Kentucky - Colonel George T. Shackleford.
6th Kentucky - Lieutenant Colonel Richard Rockingham.
41st Ohio - Colonel Aquila Wiley.
124th Ohio - Major James B. Hampson.
Battery F, 1st Ohio, - Lieutenant Giles J. Cockerill.


This Brigade became engaged at 12:00 p.m. northwest of the Brock Field, and steadily fought its way to this line, where the action continued with severity until after 3 p.m. At that hour Hazen's Brigade was relieved by Turchin's, and retired to the vicinity of the Poe House to obtain ammunition.
