After being engaged about 10:30 A.M. east of Brotherton's the battery followed its brigade in the Brotherton field. Soon after 11 A.M. Firing a few rounds, and then advancing to a position near the Dyer house, where it fired one round, when it again advanced to this Ridge about 11:45 A.M., and opened fire upon part of the Union artillery and trains escaping through the Vittetoe Gap. One gun was run forward to a knoll in the Vittetoe field, to fire through the gap. Between 1:15 and 1:45 P.M. the battery left this position and advanced to the attack on Snodgrass Ridge.
