This dog run is named in honor of PAPD K-9 Sirius #17. He was a four year old yellow Labrador Retriever who served as an explosives detector canine for the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey. Sirius lost his life during the World Trade Center arracks of September 11, 2001. He will be remembered fondly by all who knew him and all that knew of him. He will especially be missed by his partner and friend, PAPD Sgt. David W. Lim #229.
