1828

Built as a two-story Federal-style home by David Derickson, judge of the 6th District. An 1821 graduate of Allegheny College admitted to the Bar in 1823, he trained many early attorneys. The house, bought in 1848 by Hiram L. Richmond Esq., was enlarged in the Georgian style. In the 20th century several leading attorneys, including Judge F. Joseph Thomas, practiced here.
