The Naetzker family lived and worked here for 96 years 1873-1968.

Julius Polinski settled here and moved a small store to the front of the house for a saloon. He died in 1886 and his son-in-law, Oscar Naetzker, took over the saloon. There was a beer garden in the side yard. Oscar's sons, Henry and Raymond, had a newsstand after prohibition. The store was a meeting place for many people.
