Jimmy was the greatest righthanded slugger of his time, hitting 30 or more home runs in 12 consecutive seasons, a major league record, and 534 lifetime. His career batting average was .325. The first three-time MVP Award Winner (1932, 1933, 1938), he won the Triple Crown in 1933. For the A's, "Double X" hit 58 home runs in 1932. Foxx played with the 1929-1930 World Champion Athletics, and appeared in 7 All-Star Games. He set club records with the Boston Red Sox of 50 homers and 175 RBI in 1938. In 1951, he became one of the youngest players ever inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame.
