historic ground was
organized and mustered
into the volunteer service,
for the preservation of
the Union, the loyal and
patriotic men composing
the following regiments:
16th Indiana Vol. Inf.
36th Indiana Vol. Inf.
57th Indiana Vol. Inf.
69th Indiana Vol. Inf.
84th Indiana Vol. Inf.
124th Indiana Vol. Inf.
To the everlasting honor
and devotion of these men
this tablet is dedicated.
