Llego a Ilobasco en 1962. Permaneciendo 35 años. Fallecio el 6 de julio de 1997. Ejemplo digno de imitar por las presentes y futuras generaciones. La Asamblea Legislativa lo declaro amigo meritísimo de la Republica de El Salvador. Ilobasco, 6 de agosto de 1997.English translation: Gratitude to Father Marino Braspenning, C.M. who led this town along the good path to God. He said, "my reason for being is the poor, because I owe myself to them." He was ordained as a Pauline priest in 1943. He arrived in Ilobasco in 1962, remaining 35 years. He died on July 6, 1997. His life was an example worthy of imitation for the present and future generations. The Legislative Assembly declared him a Most Worthy Friend of the Republic of El Salvador. Ilobasco, August 6, 1997.
