This Model 1905 three inch field gunsaw service in the Mexican Campaignagainst Pancho Villa, and wasoriginally obtained by a local veteransorganization during the mid-1950s.In the early 1980s, American LegionBicentennial Post 1976, Annandale,obtained stewardship of the cannonand initiated a restoration projectthat included new wooden wheelshandcrafted by a master wheelwright.The cannon and memorial aremaintained by Post 1976 as remindersof the sacrifices of our veteransin maintaining freedomaround the world.
