Confederated Southern
Memorial Association and
citizens of Spotsylvania County,
to commemorate and
perpetuate the valor and
patriotism of the sons
of Spotsylvania County,
Virginia, and other
Confederate soldiers who
repose in this cemetery.

and fell in the cause
