The University of Tampa, 1933

This former grand old resort hotel, a seat of culture and education, has been the proud symbol of Tampa since 1891. Erected by The University of Tampa Class of 1991, on the occasion of the centennial of the building, this marker is a tribute to the role of the hotel and the university in the rich history of this area.
Let those who have passed through these halls inspire us to realize that life is truly what we make of it.
