A forerunner in secondary school design, Shorewood High School is modeled on a university campus plan. Constructed between 1924 and 1938 by Milwaukee architects Herbst and Kuenzli, the school includes separate buildings for administration, physical education, arts and science, industrial arts and theater arts. The splendid auditorium also serves the Shorewood community.
