I Saw The Marker
This is the correct coordinate for the marker but the house is located one block from the courthouse to the west. I have a document provided by the Kentucky Heritage Association and signed by Wendell Ford which states that this house and property are "A Kentucky Landmark" and deemed worthy of preservation. Any follow up you can provide would be greatly appreciated. This landmark is definitely worthy of preservation. It was nominated in 1974 (I believe) by Ms. Virginia Jewell, a great friend of my grandmother's and a prominent member of the Hickman County Historical Society.

I Saw The Marker
I live in this house. It has been in our family since very early 1900's (mother was born here in 1921). The marker was originally in front of the house here on Dunlora Lane. My grandmother offered to move it to the Courthouse Square and it stands there now on Hwy 51 just before you get to the ONLY traffic light in town. The house is the third to stand on this spot. The first two (original one was a log structure) burned. The house standing now was a school. I've been told it was operated by the Baptist Church. It is a brick structure. Could use some work but still in pretty good shape. The address is 204 Dunlora Lane, Clinton, Ky. 42031. I can provide pictures if anyone is interested.
