7th Ark., 2d Ark., 6th Ark., 3d Confederate,
Hardee's Corps,
Army of the Mississippi.

This brigade came into position here, its right near Eastern Corinth Road, about 9.30 a.m., April 6, 1862. It soon fell back about 300 yards where it reformed and advanced again to an attack upon Union lines. The 7th and 2d Ark. on the left, carried the position in their front at 11 a.m. The right regiments received flank fire and fell back. The brigade then wheeled to right and attacked again.
