Sussex Zion Evangelical Church started Oct 25, 1888. At annual Jan 1890 church meeting August Mindemann gave ? acre of land for church burial spot.

First burial. Lille Alma Walter, dau. Franz Walter/Caroline Brandt. Lillie born April 24, 1889, died March 28, 1890. Interred March 31, 1890
