The history of the Kneeland-Walker House and Carriage House on this beautifully landscaped 1.5 acre site is the story of two remarkable men. The house was built in 1889-90 by Norman L. Kneeland who was involved in early Wauwatosa government. In 1917 it was purchased be Emery L. Walker, an engineer and inventor, who was involved in paper container manufacturing. This residence is a fine example of Late Queen Anne Style blended with elements of Shingle Style Architecture.
