English translation:

In 1915 this legendary Park of Querétaro inspired José Lopez Alavésto pen his immortal "Canción Mixteca", with its essence of the romanticism which is the musical heritage of all Mexicans"I am far from the land where I was bornAn intense nostalgia invades my thoughtsAnd seeing me as lonely and sad as a leaf in the windI would cry, I would die from this feeling"The government and people of the state of Querétaro, render with this sculpture, a worthy tribute to the illustrious composer.
