Historic Plaza Walking Tour Stop 11
View of the Plaza looking west. The Grand Central Hotel (9) is on the right. The depot (14) is in the center of the Plaza and the Drovers Cottage (5) can be seen in the distance just to the left side of the depot. Had you been standing here on a summer day in 1868 you could have witnessed a stampede of wild buffalo charging through the Plaza! The buffalo continued past this spot and onto the plains to the east as dazed townspeople returned to daily life in Ellsworth.HM Number | HM10LQ |
