— 1941-1945 —(Front inscription) World War II Memorial 1941-1945—-Dedicated to the more that 41,000 Mainers who served in that war. 2,551 gave their lives for our freedom. The jeep was a vehicle of universal to all branches of the U.S. Armed Services.
