In 1976
the Cultural Affairs Commission
designated this building,
by virtue of its Gothic window,
historically & culturally
of major significance.
In 1913 St. Matthew's
German Evangelical Church
built this structure
at a cost of $5,000.
The Trinity Lutheran Church
bought it in 1942.
The Belrose Family purchased
the building in 1962 to serve
as a community theater,
a theatrical school, & as
the Belrose home.
A theatrical shop was added in 1981. "The Belrose" was restored & renovated in 1988 to preserve it, enhance its charm, value & service to the community.
