This marker is dedicated to my mother Mrs. Sarah MacIntyre and my mother in law Mrs. Zola Swift who like millions of other mothers joined together with their sons and daughters to rid the world of the evils of the empires of Germany and Japan during World War II.

These women not only gave up their sons and daughters to the Armed Forces, they also worked in the war industries and donated countless hours to the activities of the localUSO clubs. Prayer was their only relief for anxiety. The question asked is, how well would these sons and daughters have existed withoutthe telephone calls, the Care Packages and the letters from home.

These mothers were the backbone of
The Greatest Generation!
