Erected 1920 by the Virginia Hot Springs Company commemorating the planting of trees along this boulevard. A memorial of patriotism and a tribute of honor to the employees of this Company and the men of Bath County who in 1917 and 1918 served in the Army and Navy of our country in the World War. Even unto death their name liveth forevermore.
