Calle de la Alegria
Originally named "Street of Joy" during Tucson's Spanish period. In 1869, its name changed to Congress Street, derived from Charles O. Brown's Congress Hall Saloon. In 1867, Arizona's territorial capital was moved to Tucson, and Brown's saloon served as one of three meeting places for the Territorial Legislature.| HM Number | HM1BWS |
