Condemned to death by the N.Y. Assembly, Col. Cochran fought the Yorkers for Vermont land grants. Joining the Green Mt. Boys, he was with Ethan Allen at Ticonderoga and Seth Warner at Crown Point. Later he commanded Continental forces in the Mohawk Valley campaigns and undertook dangerous espionage duties in Canada for the American cause.HM Number | HM1H80 |
