Vacant through the 1970's, the Hamlin was reoccupied and upgraded after being transferred to nonprofit ownership in the 1980's. It was a part of the nation's first agreement requiring tourist hotel developers to provide affordable housing. The 1978 remake of the movie, Invasion of the Body Snatchers, was filmed at the Hamlin Hotel, as was the 1981 film, Street Music.HM Number | HM1Q6Y |
