The Marker Is Missing
Previous report was wrong. I had another tab open and thought I was on that one to make a report.
I could not find this marker. According to the coordinates is should be at the same place as the one for New Providence Church HM1Q91. I even drove back 20 miles to check if it was a double sided marker. It was but the information was for New Providence Church. Access to both sites, take a right at the next road. Maxwell Academy is on the left and the driveway to the church is on the right about 100 yards or so from when you t urn.

George Maxwell, the name sake of the school was the brother of my gggg-gf, Jessie Maxwell. They both fought at King's Mountain in the company of their brother-in-law Capt, Thomas Sharp. They are mentioned in his DAR bio, but I couldn't find them listed on their own. It appears they are replacing the stairway on the outside of the building to the 2nd floor of the school. I have a picture of the school.
