Built by Increase Sumner Morse, 1806-
1875, circa 1850. This is one of the oldest
buildings in Amelia and was constructed
of bricks fired in a kiln on site. The
house has served as an inn, and a store.
Originally the house was located on the
S.E. corner of Main and Oak Streets. It
was moved to its current site on
December 14, 1998.
