This brigade being the right of Baird's division reached this position about 9:30 A.M., taking Wilson's Brigade of Walker's Division in flank and relieving the pressure upon the right of Croxton's Brigade of Brannan's division. It was in turn attacked on its right flank by Liddell's Division about 11
A.M. and forced to its left and rear with the loss of five guns, one of which was recaptured. The brigade retired to the Glade East of the McDonald house where its division assembled.
