Nunnally Johnson was a native of Columbus who left his job as a reporter for "The Columbus Enquirer - Sun" to eventually become one of Hollywood's most successful screenwriter/producers. By the age of thirty-five, Johnson had written two musicals for Broadway and directed, produced, or written more than one hundred motion pictures. His films include "Jesse James" (1939), "The Grapes of Wrath" (1940), "The Three Faces of Eve" (1957), and "The Dirty Dozen" (1967).
