Titan from Greek Mythology
Titans were deities that existed before the Olympian Gods, and Prometheus was known as the protector and benefactor of mankind.

Zeus, the king of the Olympian Gods, took fire away from mankind after Prometheus angered him with his trickery.
Prometheus then stole back the fire and returned it to mankind so that they could survive and prosper. As punishment, Zeus chained hime to a rock and sent an eagle every day to eat his liver, which regrew every night.
Prometheus was saved years later by Hercules who killed the eagle with his arrows.
