This bell is all that remains of the school house, that once stood on these grounds. Purchased by the Pleasantville Borough at a cost of $1,500.00. The two story structure with bell tower, measuring 38 ft. x 40 ft. was built by Thomas S. Holsinger. The first teacher was T.B. Potts in 1879, and the first principal was Cyrus J. Potts in 1880. The school had two additions in its 99 years of existence before burning down on Jan. 14, 1978.HM Number | HM25NZ |
