A row of oak trees was planted
on May 17, 1999, next to historic Maplelawn.
These trees represent the high regard
in which the community holds this place
in their neighbourhood.
The trees were planted in partnership
with the Community of Highland Park,
City of Ottawa Councillor Shawn Little
and National Capital Commission Chairman
Marcel Beaudry.
Le 17 mai 1999, une rangée de chênes
a été plantée à proximité du site historique
de Maplelawn.
Ce geste montre l'importance de ce lieu aux yeux
de la population du quatier.
Cette plantation a été réalisée grâce à un partenariat
entre la communauté de Highland Park,
le conseiller de la Ville d'Ottawa, M. Shawn Little,
et le président de la Commission de la capitale natonale,
M. Marcel Beaudry.
