This building (1911-12) was designed by Vonnegut & Bohn for the oldest and largest dry goods firm in the Wholesale District. Established in 1867, Hibben, Hollweg & Company carried a wide range of foreign and domestic dry good and notions (miscellaneous small items) including curtains, window shades, floor coverings, linens, woolens, hosiery, and its own line of clothing.
