Barberville Pioneer Settlement
Built in the 1920's, the house was moved from New Smyrna Beach in 1997. The shotgun style is indicative of the homes built to quarter workers in the Naval Stores Industry (turpentine). The structures were cheaply built and occupants frequently "papered" their walls with cardboard and news paper to insulate the interior.HM Number | HM2I10 |
