EDWARD E. "HOOK" MYLIN COACHED Lafayette for seven seasons (1937-42, 1946) and guided the Leopards to undefeated seasons in 1937 and 1940. What he accomplished in his first year at Lafayette is likely his greatest single achievement, earning him the moniker Miracle-Man Mylin. Inheriting a team that had posted a dismal 1-8 mark in 1936, Mylin directed the Leopards to a perfect season, crusing through eight straight opponents with a defense that allowed just six points all season. The swift turnaround earned Hook national coach of the year honors and, ultimately, induction into the National Football Foundation Hall of Fame.
