1903 - 1972

Saint Paul Methodist Episcopal Church was organized in 1875 in a weatherboard building on Church Street near Holderby Street. Over the years, the building became dilapidated beyond repair. The new site was located on the corner of Williams and Scales Streets. The Methodist Episcopal Church, The Methodist Protestant Church, and the Methodist Church, South merged in 1939 into the Methodist Church. In 1968, the General Conference of the church completed a plan for merger of the Methodist Church and the United Brethren Church to form the United Methodist Church. We became the Saint Paul United Methodist Church.
