Samuel J. Friedman was a pioneer publicist who brought the excitement of the theatre to the general public and helped communicate the importance of Broadway as valued American institution.
Mr. Friedman promoted shows, performers, producers and films. He was a member and officer of the Association of Theatrical Press Agents & Managers.
The Biltmore Theatre, built in 1925, was renamed the Samuel J. Friedman Theatre of September 4, 2008.
